Fingertip Control ConversionTR2,3 and 3A. This conversion addresses all the electrical
problems faced when fitting a steering rack. This conversion is an outright purchase
no old units required. All electrical controls contained on the original horn centre
form part of this kit. The horn remains as a centre push control. There are up to
three fingertip control stalks possible behind the wheel, arranged to customer preference
but normally provided as; one switch to control dip and main beam with headlamp flash
facility. The other for the indicators. A third switch can be added for wiper/wash
control. A column loom with male and female multi-plug is supplied. The steering
wheel spline is TR2/3A and the lower spline will fit the U/J supplied with the rack
conversion kit. Wiring diagrams will be supplied with full details.
ELECTRICAL & IGNITION
Fully Mappable Distributor with USB port for most laptops. Unique ability contained
within the distributor with no additional wiring. At last, a precise ignition map
to suit your individual engine modifications.
Dynamo look-alike. The dynamo fitted to the TRs was the Lucas C40 that in good condition
and at full revs would produce 22amps, just enough to support the standard equipment.
This alternator looks like the dynamo and is a bolt in replacement but produces over
twice the output and additionally will charge at much lower revs whilst being about
half the weight. In addition, a further potential failure point is removed as the
control box can be removed or bypassed as this unit has its own built in regulator.This
modern negative earth alternator is rated at 50amps and requires only two wires to
be moved at the control box. Full instructions are supplied. A positive earth version
is available at additional cost.
